Note
This is AWS WAF Classic documentation. For more information, see AWS WAF Classic in the developer guide.
For the latest version of AWS WAF , use the AWS WAFV2 API and see the AWS WAF Developer Guide . With the latest version, AWS WAF has a single set of endpoints for regional and global use.
Returns the RegexPatternSet specified by RegexPatternSetId .

See ‘aws help’ for descriptions of global parameters.
get-regex-pattern-set
--regex-pattern-set-id <value>
[--cli-input-json | --cli-input-yaml]
[--generate-cli-skeleton <value>]
--regex-pattern-set-id (string)
The
RegexPatternSetIdof the RegexPatternSet that you want to get.RegexPatternSetIdis returned by CreateRegexPatternSet and by ListRegexPatternSets .
--cli-input-json | --cli-input-yaml (string)
Reads arguments from the JSON string provided. The JSON string follows the format provided by --generate-cli-skeleton. If other arguments are provided on the command line, those values will override the JSON-provided values. It is not possible to pass arbitrary binary values using a JSON-provided value as the string will be taken literally. This may not be specified along with --cli-input-yaml.
--generate-cli-skeleton (string)
Prints a JSON skeleton to standard output without sending an API request. If provided with no value or the value input, prints a sample input JSON that can be used as an argument for --cli-input-json. Similarly, if provided yaml-input it will print a sample input YAML that can be used with --cli-input-yaml. If provided with the value output, it validates the command inputs and returns a sample output JSON for that command.
See ‘aws help’ for descriptions of global parameters.
RegexPatternSet -> (structure)
Information about the RegexPatternSet that you specified in the
GetRegexPatternSetrequest, including the identifier of the pattern set and the regular expression patterns you want AWS WAF to search for.RegexPatternSetId -> (string)
The identifier for the
RegexPatternSet. You useRegexPatternSetIdto get information about aRegexPatternSet, update aRegexPatternSet, remove aRegexPatternSetfrom aRegexMatchSet, and delete aRegexPatternSetfrom AWS WAF.
RegexMatchSetIdis returned by CreateRegexPatternSet and by ListRegexPatternSets .Name -> (string)
A friendly name or description of the RegexPatternSet . You can’t change
Nameafter you create aRegexPatternSet.RegexPatternStrings -> (list)
Specifies the regular expression (regex) patterns that you want AWS WAF to search for, such as
B[a@]dB[o0]t.(string)
